David Bailey back at practice after ankle injury

by

Jets first-round pick David Bailey hurt his ankle at practice last weekend, but head coach Aaron Glenn said the linebacker’s injury was minor and that was proven correct on Tuesday.

Bailey is on the field for the first of the team’s two joint practices with the Buccaneers in New Jersey. The sessions will give Bailey his first chance to work against another team since he entered the NFL as the second overall pick in April.

Another one of the team’s pass rushers is also getting close to returning to action. Brian Costello of the New York Post reports that Joseph Ossai will be activated from the physically unable to perform list on Tuesday.

Will McDonald and Kingsley Enagbare are also at the top of the list of options off the edge for the Jets.
