Meanwhile, legendary coaches in college basketball are continuing to build outstanding legacies. One of those names that continues to do extraordinary work in the game is the head coach of the South Carolina Gamecocks.

After a great playing career, she went into coaching, where she has won three NCAA Tournament titles and been named the Naismith Coach of the Year four times.
Staley is also doing outstanding work off the court to advocate for the game.

Her book tour will begin on Thursday, May 22 in downtown New York City and move to Philadelphia the next day. She has announced that she will return to campus with her book tour very soon.

Staley and the South Carolina Gamecocks are coming off a 35-4 season in 2024-25. They were defeated in the NCAA Tournament title game by the UConn Huskies.

Despite the loss, it marked their fifth straight trip to the NCAA Final Four and their third appearance in the championship game in four seasons.
The head coach of the Gamecocks has been at the school since the 2008-09 season. In her first three seasons at South Carolina, Staley failed to reach the NCAA Tournament.
