The countdown is on.
With the 2025 Daytona 500 looming on Feb. 16, the Daytona Beach News-Journal is checking off the boxes on the calendar until the 67th running of the Great American Race.
Today’s driver and car: The No. 14 driven by Tony Stewart from 2009 through 2016. Stewart’s career at Daytona International Speedway was matched by few in terms of total victories — he won 19 times at the World Center of Racing, including four wins in the 400-mile summertime race. But he was winless in 17 Daytona 500 starts.

Thursday, Feb. 13: The Duels at Daytona, two 150-mile races to set the lineup for the Daytona 500, 7 p.m. (Fox Sports 1).
