There are seven days until the 2025 Daytona 500, which goes green at 2:30 p.m. Feb. 16 at Daytona International Speedway. The NASCAR regular-season opener will air on Fox.
Will it occur under clear skies?
As of Sunday, The Weather Channel says it’s probable. It has reduced the chances of race-day rain from 40% to 24% since Friday. The forecast shows partly cloudy skies and a high temperature of 80 degrees.
Outside of a 50% chance of rain Thursday, the rest of the week looks ever better. Here is the full Weather Channel forecast through Feb. 17.

Tuesday, Feb. 11: High temperature of 78. Partly cloudy with a 16% chance of precipitation. ESE wind at 9 mph.
Wednesday, Feb. 12: High temperature of 84. Sunny with an 8% chance of precipitation. S wind at 13 mph.
Thursday, Feb. 13: High temperature of 83. Partly cloudy in the morning with a 50% chance of rain showers later in the day. SW wind at 12 mph.
Friday, Feb. 14: High temperature of 75. Mostly cloudy with a 24% chance of precipitation. NNE wind at 12 mph.
