While Colorado is hunting for a Big 12 football championship, head coach Deion “Coach Prime” Sanders isn’t moved by the recent shuffling of the conference standings that has the Buffs tied for second place.
“We don’t care about that,” Sanders noted during his weekly presser on Tuesday. “Every game is a playoff game to us. It’s been that way all season… It’s a single-elimination tournament, and we’re approaching all of them with passion, with purpose, with consistency, with focus and a dog-like attitude.”
Coach Prime has kept the stakes high all year long for the now-bowl-eligible Buffaloes, who benefited from Week 10 losses from the Iowa State Cyclones and Kansas State Wildcats.
Colorado will likely need to win all four of its remaining games to have a shot at reaching the Big 12 title game. That hunt begins on Saturday at 2 p.m. MT against the Texas Tech Red Raiders.
