Dover Motor Speedway and North Wilkesboro Speedway have become the latest tracks to unveil their dates for the 2027 NASCAR season, giving fans another look at how next year’s calendar is beginning to take shape.
The announcements continue a busy stretch of schedule news, with NASCAR and individual tracks gradually confirming race weekends ahead of the full 2027 schedule release. While both venues will keep familiar spots on the calendar, North Wilkesboro’s All-Star celebration and Dover’s return to a traditional points-paying weekend remain among the biggest highlights.

Dover Returns to Traditional Race Weekend
After serving as the host of the NASCAR All-Star Race in 2026, Dover Motor Speedway will return to a championship points weekend in 2027.
The Monster Mile confirmed the NASCAR Cup Series will race on Sunday, May 16, while the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series will compete in the Bet Rivers 200 on Saturday, May 15.
The move restores Dover to its familiar mid-May slot after this year’s All-Star festivities, which temporarily replaced its traditional Cup weekend.
Dover officials also confirmed the Fan Zone and its pre-race entertainment offerings will return in 2027 as part of the weekend experience. Additional details, including television information and support events, will be announced later.

North Wilkesboro Keeps NASCAR’s Biggest All-Star Weekend
North Wilkesboro Speedway also confirmed its place on the 2027 calendar, once again hosting NASCAR’s All-Star festivities while celebrating the historic venue’s 80th anniversary.
The three-day event begins with the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series on Friday, May 21, followed by the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series on Saturday, May 22.
The weekend culminates with the NASCAR Cup Series All-Star Race on Sunday, May 23, marking another year that North Wilkesboro will serve as the centerpiece of NASCAR’s annual exhibition weekend.

Speedway officials said the 2027 event will commemorate eight decades of racing history while bringing together all three national NASCAR series for what has become one of the sport’s marquee weekends.
