Portsmouth midfielder Andre Dozzell will leave the club when his contract expires this summer and has agreed to sign for MLS side DC United.
Pompey say that the 27-year-old has rejected a new agreement and will join the Washington-based team.

During his time at Fratton Park, Dozzell has made 80 appearances after signing in 2024 from QPR.
He was a key member of Portsmouth’s midfield across the 2025-26 campaign, making 39 appearances and scoring twice – a crucial late equaliser against Oxford United in April and the winner against Preston North End in August.
“This is a special club, with special supporters, staff and players – all of whom have made my time at Pompey unforgettable,” Dozzell told the club website.
“I think that staying in the Championship has been a real achievement and hopefully now is the time for the club to really push on.

“It was an absolute privilege for me to represent Portsmouth FC and I will continue to watch what happens closely, I wish nothing but the very best for everyone who is associated with the club.”
Dozzell came through Ipswich Town’s academy, also spending time at Birmingham City on loan before his move to the south coast.
This will be his first time playing club football outside of the UK and he will link up with Rene Weiler’s side who are currently fifth in the MLS table.
Portsmouth boss John Mousinho admitted that he was disapointed to lose the midfielder.
“We’re disappointed to lose Doz, who has been a valuable member of the side during these past two campaigns,” he said.

“He started every game that he was available for this season – which tells you what I think of him – and has gone from strength to strength.
“We would have liked to keep him, but he’s been given an opportunity to go and play abroad and experience something different.
“He’s earned that that right with his performances on the pitch and will always be welcome back at Fratton Park.”
