Drivers show off gameplay for upcoming NASCAR 25 video game

by

We are just a couple of months away from the release of NASCAR 25. The highly anticipated video game has fans eager. While it would have been great to have had a summer release for he project, coming out during the NASCAR Playoffs could be a strategic move that pays off.

Ideally, NASCAR will be able to capitalize on the playoffs and game coinciding with each other. Release dates are difficult to pin down. However, we are getting close to seeing this game in real life.

Today, a video was released showing drivers playing NASCAR 25 and commenting on the game. There were a lot of positive comments, as expected in a marketing video. In the gameplay that you see in the video, it appears to look great. Drivers report that the physics are fantastic and the track scans are accurate.

With iRacing behind this game, and input from the likes of Dale Earnhardt Jr., it’s no surprise that the details would be accurate. What do you think about what you see in the video?

William Byron is a great driver to have as far as feedback goes. As everyone knows, Byron came up through the iRacing ranks. Many of his early experiences with racing come from online formats. That has turned out to be a pretty great jumping point for the Hendrick Motorsports driver who just won at Iowa Speedway last Sunday.

NASCAR 25 gives gamer race fans hope

If you played any of the Motorsport Games titles in the NASCAR line, you will know that the gameplay was mid at best. Bugs, glitches, uninspired storytelling, and many times, unusable. That is what defined many of those titles under the now-defunct developer.

NASCAR 25 is more or less promising to bring the iRacing mechanics, looks, and feel to console. At least, that’s how I view it. There is a real chance to show race fans and video game players just how difficult and fun racing can be. There is a large motorsport video game contingency out there. Could this game be the next big hit?

There are tons of drivers that players will get to choose from. Career mode takes you from ARCA all the way up to the Cup Series. There appears to be real care and consideration taken with the game itself.

October 14th is the big day. NASCAR will be coming out of the Las Vegas weekend, perhaps with part of the Championship 4 locked into Phoenix when NASCAR 25 drops. Will you be playing and keeping up with the playoffs?
