The Duke Blue Devils have been at the top of the college basketball standings for years, previously riding the success of head coach Mike Krzyzewski.

Duke recently concluded its third season under head coach Jon Scheyer, who has done an incredible job of uplifting the Blue Devils program, but Krzyzewski is widely considered the greatest college basketball coach of all time.

Scheyer recently helped lead the Blue Devils to a Final Four appearance, finishing the season with a 35-4 record.

As he holds the reins of one of the most prestigious college basketball teams, Duke turned back the clock and gave credit to Krzyzewski, who has been inducted into the 2025 FIBA Hall of Fame class.

Duke posted the news on social media, sharing high praise for the college basketball legend.

“Another HOF for the (goat emoji),” posted the official social media account of the Duke Blue Devils.

Krzyzewski will be inducted into the class with the following people: Alphonse Bile, Andrew Bogut, Leonor Borrell, Pau Gasol, Ticha Penicheiro, Ratko Radovanovic and Dawn Staley.

Upon the release of the announcement, some fans took to social media, sharing their thoughts on Mike Krzyzewski’s Hall of Fame induction.

Mike Krzyzewski served as the head coach of the Duke Blue Devils basketball program from 1980 to 2022.

During his time at Duke, Krzyzewski led the Blue Devils to five national titles, 13 Final Four appearances, 13 ACC regular-season titles and 15 ACC Tournament titles. His 1,129 victories at Duke represent a record for a coach at one school, and his 1,202 total victories are a Division I record.

In terms of his FIBA affiliation, Krzyzewski helped lead Team USA to three Olympic gold medals and two FIBA Basketball World Cups with some of the biggest stars in NBA history such as, LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony and Chris Paul.
