Eagles move ahead of Ravens with consecutive touchdown drives

BALTIMORE — It took some time for the Philadelphia Eagles to get warmed up Sunday, per usual, but they got cooking on offense in the second quarter.

Trailing 9-0, quarterback Jalen Hurts got Philly on the board with a 17-yard touchdown pass to Dallas Goedert. A.J. Brown’s presence forced safety Kyle Hamilton to adjust his angle, and that was enough to give Goedert a path towards the end zone with 8:04 remaining in the opening half.

The Eagles marched 68 yards on nine plays on the following series. Hurts capped the drive with a “tush push” sneak from the Ravens’ one-yard line to put his team on top.

The Eagles got off to yet another slow start. They have just 17 first-quarter points this season, the fewest in the NFL.
