Eagles-Patriots joint training camp practice coming this summer?

by

The Philadelphia Eagles and New England Patriots could meet for at least one joint training camp practice this summer.

Nick Sirianni and Mike Vrabel have had “preliminary discussions about the possibility of having the teams practice together in the preseason — likely in Foxborough,” according to a report from ESPN’s Mike Reiss.

The Eagles and Patriots previously held a single joint training camp practice session in August 2024, days ahead of their preseason game at Gillette Stadium in Massachusetts. The Birds totally outclassed the Pats in that session, which was fitting for how their respective seasons went.

The Eagles typically don’t like to play their starters in preseason games, instead preferring to rely on joint training camp practices to prepare their key players for the regular season.

Whereas most Eagles training camp practices (save for the sole public appearance at Lincoln Financial Field each year) as closed to fans, this session might be available to those willing to make the trip to Foxborough.

There’s a good chance A.J. Brown will be participating in this practice. The question is: will he be wearing an Eagles uniform or a Patriots jersey?

Assuming the Eagles and Pats do end up playing each other in the preseason, that’ll make up one of the Eagles’ two road preseason games. They’ll have just a single home preseason game this year.
