The San Jose Earthquakes are reportedly in ‘advanced talks’ with veteran MLS coach Bruce Arena, according to Tom Bogert.
The former USMNT boss has been out of work since being put on administrative leave and placed under investigation for alleged ‘inappropriate and insensitive remarks’.
Despite that, the Earthquakes are seemingly set to press forward and bring in the 73-year-old, who is reportedly already in the process of ‘finalizing a deal’ with the club.
Bruce Arena is the winningest head coach in MLS history, 1st in the following categories:
– Wins (250)
– MLS Cups (five)
– Supporters’ Shields (four)
– Coach of the Year awards (four) https://t.co/aCKlYoOaRC— Tom Bogert (@tombogert) October 25, 2024
Arena won three MLS Cups in a four-year span with the LA Galaxy in the 2010’s, but would be tasked with rebuilding the Northern California club after a six-win season in 2024.
