The 2025 Go Bowling Military Bowl features an American Conference vs. ACC matchup in Annapolis, MD.
East Carolina and Pittsburgh will square off at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium on Saturday, Dec. 27. This marks the fifth meeting between the programs. Pitt swept the Pirates in 1984 and 1987, but East Carolina got its lick back in 1991 and 1992 to even the series at 2-2.

East Carolina (8-4, 6-2 American) set a new school record for American Conference victories in a season, earning its winningest regular season since 2014. The Pirates are 13-5 since promoting Blake Harrell to head coach, and Harrell guided the Pirates to a second-straight bowl game in his first full season at the helm. ECU has won its only two bowl games since 2015, besting Coastal Carolina in the 2022 Birmingham Bowl and downing rival NC State in a thrilling 2024 Military Bowl. Thus, this is ECU’s second-straight Military Bowl appearance and third all-time (also qualifying for the 2010 contest).
Pitt (8-4, 6-2 ACC) is bowling for the second-consecutive season under 11th-year head coach Pat Narduzzi. The Panthers were in contention for the ACC Championship headed into the final Saturday of the regular season, but a Week 14 loss to Miami (FL) situated them in a 5-way tie, which was won by Duke. Still, Pitt produced its winningest season in three years and can capture a third 9-win campaign in the last five seasons under Narduzzi.
This is one of two American vs. ACC matchups, along with the Gasparilla Bowl between Memphis and NC State.
ECU and Pitt kick off from Annapolis on Saturday, Dec. 27 at 11 a.m. ET on ESPN. It’s the first matchup of an 8-game slate on the busiest day of Bowl Season.
