Four-star quarterback recruit Bowe Bentley has narrowed his recruitment to two schools and LSU made the cut, according to On3’s Hayes Fawcett. The Tigers will battle Oklahoma for the services of the blue-chip passer.
Head coach Brian Kelly’s team made a push for Bentley during the spring, which gave LSU an edge over Georgia and other Power Four suitors. He has official visits to Norman and Baton Rouge in June.

According to On3’s Industry Rankings, Bentley is the No. 7 quarterback and No. 11 prospect out of Texas. He ranks as the No. 76 overall player in the 2026 cycle. The Sooners are still the favorite to land his commitment.
LSU’s 2026 class ranks first nationally with two five-star commitments but remains without a quarterback. Few elite passers are uncommitted, which means Bentley would be a huge get for Kelly’s staff. At six-foot-one with lots of upside, he has a good chance of ending his recruitment as a five-star prospect.
