UConn-South Carolina will be one of the games of the year in women’s college basketball, and ESPN is giving it the College GameDay treatment.
The popular pregame show will air live from Columbia, S.C. on Sunday, Feb. 16, one of three shows ahead of women’s college hoops showdowns this season. The show will air beginning at 11 a.m. on ESPN, with the game set to tip off at 1 p.m. on ABC.
The game could be a top-five matchup, as UConn (21-2) is currently ranked fifth in the AP poll, with South Carolina (21-1) in at No. 2.
Both teams have three games before the Sunday showdown, with UConn traveling to No. 19 Tennessee on Thursday, facing Providence on the road Sunday and St. John’s at home next Wednesday. South Carolina faces Georgia, Texas and Florida ahead of their meeting with the Huskies.
ESPN’s GameDay crew will feature host Elle Duncan and analysts Andraya Carter and Chiney Ogwumike.
GameDay is set to air ahead of women’s basketball games on Feb. 23, March 2 and during conference championship week (March 9).
