Florida State football’s former defensive coordinator, Adam Fuller, has landed a new job in the NFL.
According to Pete Thamel, Fuller is expected to be hired as the Los Angeles Chargers‘ next safeties coach. Fuller will replace Chris O’Leary, who accepted the defensive coordinator job at Western Michigan.
When he joins the Chargers, he will join Jim Harbaugh’s staff and coach former FSU All-American and Pro Bowl safety Derwin James.
Fuller and Alex Atkins, the former offensive coordinator and offensive line coach, were fired late in the season after the Notre Dame loss, leading to a 2-10 season.
Atkins was recently hired at LSU as the tight ends coach. Tony White replaced Fuller as DC. Gus Malzahn replaced Atkins as offensive coordinator and Herb Hand as offensive line.
