MMA fans might’ve missed out on a potential super fight between former UFC champions Israel Adesanya and Kamaru Usman, but now you can at least get a glimpse of what could’ve been.
Adesanya released a video on Friday on his YouTube channel of him sparring Usman at Kill Cliff in South Florida. Obviously, not going full throttle, but the two mixed it up on the feet and ground, showing their world-class skills that made them at some point the best in their respective divisions.

Adesanya, a former UFC middleweight champion, and Usman, a former UFC welterweight champion, were at some point talked about by fans to fight each other, as they were dominant champions in neighboring weight classes. Despite the interest, the two were never keen on making the bout happen, as they were friends and had close connection, being from Nigeria.
Today, the two no longer hold UFC belts and are looking to get their storied careers back on winning ways. Adesanya is on a three-fight skid, with his last bout being in February, while Usman is also currently on a three-fight losing streak, with his last fight being in 2023.
