
The West Jersey Football Coaches Association will recognize five inductees in the Class of 2025 for the South Jersey Football Coaches Hall of Fame in August.
Former athletic director Mike Gatley will join coaches Pete Lancetta, Matthew Shultz and Mike Sheridan along with media member Kevin Minnick, who’ve all been named to the Class of 2025, the WJFCA announced on social media on Monday.

The new inductees will be honored at halftime of the Battle of the Beach game between IMG Academy and Winslow game at Ocean City’s Carey Stadium on Aug. 28.
Gatley was the athletic director at Hammonton from 2001-11. He returned to his alma mater Mainland to hold the same position before he stepped down last year. He received the Athletic Director of the Year Award from the Directors of Athletics Association of New Jersey for the 2019-20 school year.
Lancetta has won over 200 games along with 14 conference titles and four sectional titles during his coaching career at Hammonton and now St. Augustine.
Sheridan coached at Sterling, Collingswood, West Deptford and Haddon Township. He stepped down as head coach of the Hawks in 2020.
Shultz has been a long-time assistant coach at Cherokee and West Deptford.
Minnick has covered high school sports in the South Jersey area for over 30 years, including time with the Courier-Post. He currently works for nj.com.
