Mississippi’s top high school football recruit has found his future home.
Hattiesburg five-star wide receiver Tristen Keys announced his commitment to LSU football Wednesday from a post on Instagram.
Keys is the No. 1 recruit in Mississippi, No. 1 overall wide receiver and the No. 5 recruit in the nation in the 2026 class, according to the 247Sports Composite. Keys said in the post, “Once A Tiger, Always A Tiger #WRTS.”
The junior wideout released his top 12 list on Jan. 22 and chose LSU over Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, USC, Auburn, Texas A&M, Miami, Oklahoma and Florida.

During the 2024 season, Keys produced 1,275 receiving yards with 14 touchdowns on 58 receptions, helping lead Hattiesburg to the MHSAA Class 6A title game but lost to Grenada 43-14.
Keys is the only Mississippi high school player committed to LSU for the Class of 2026. JaReylan McCoy, the state’s No. 7 recruit, committed to the Tigers on Jan. 2 but decommitted on Feb. 3.
