Todd Golden and his Florida basketball program are off to a hot start to the 2024-25 campaign having won their first dozen games in the second-longest winning streak in school history.
The team’s success has been reflected in both of the major polls entering the winter holiday week. The Gators cracked the top five in the USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll coming in right at No. 5 while sliding up to sixth in the Associated Press Poll.
CBS Sports insider Gary Parrish was a little less bullish than those two in his college basketball rankings, placing the Gators at No. 7 — the same spot they were in last week.
