Florida State and Mike Norvell landed an impressive class of 2027 commitment to bolster his secondary, landing safety Ta’Shawn Poole. Poole is from the Macon, Georgia, area and currently plays football at Howard High School.
It’s a nice win for the Seminoles, considering that Georgia was one of the finalists Poole was considering, in addition to Tennessee.

“It feels good. I’m just ready to go up there to play ball, man,” Poole said after the announcement on CBS Sports’ YouTube channel. “The coaches, man, I felt like a priority for them. They treated me like I was already a Seminole (when I visited).
Poole kept his decision very close to the vest before announcing it to the college football world.
“Even my mom didn’t know. Only my coach, my sister and my trainer knew,” he said. “I think it felt good having everybody wait and surprising the whole world.”
