The Florida State Seminoles have landed their sixth commitment of the 2027 recruiting class. After his visit on Saturday, which was his second since his offer in February, three-star athlete Dayon Cooper has pledged to FSU, per On3’s Hayes Fawcett.
Cooper is the No. 492 overall player in the nation and the No. 15 athlete according to the Rivals industry rankings. The 6-foot, 180-pounder is also the No. 22 prospect in the state of Tennessee.

The South Pittsburg High School standout joins a talented haul for the Seminoles. They also have blue-chip prospects safety Mekhi Williams, linebacker Gregory Batson, and edge Anthony Cavallaro as well as three-star recruits safety Jemari Foreman and tight end Connor Winn, committed.
Cooper had a stellar junior campaign in 2025. He was named the Tennessee Titans Mr. Football after running for 421 yards and five touchdowns and catching 29 passes for 681 yards and 10 scores.
He plays both sides of the ball, but Florida State is recruiting Cooper as a cornerback.
