Moments before halftime, Clemson showed its president, Jim Clements, on the video board, then switched to Swinney, who was cheered by Tigers fans. Swinney was treated to an offensive master class in the first half, highlighted by center Viktor Lakhin, who already had 20 points.
Many of Clemson’s football players were at the Tigers’ upset win against then No. 2-Duke on Saturday, including cornerbacks Ashton Hampton and Avieon Terrell, wide receivers T.J. Moore and Tristan Smith, and tight end Olsen Patt-Henry.
Clemson football coaches and players have been enjoying their offseason after winning the ACC championship and making the College Football Playoff for the first time in three years.
Spring football practice begins Feb. 28.
