After reports surfaced Sunday night that the Alabama Crimson Tide were hiring Ryan Grubb as the next offensive coordinator, the program is now also reportedly set to retain former OC Nick Sheridan as well.
Sheridan, who was one-of-multiple assistants that followed Kalen DeBoer to Alabama last offseason, spent this past season in Tuscaloosa as the Crimson Tide‘s offensive coordinator, as well as quarterbacks coach, his first in the role. In this, Sheridan helped lead Alabama to a ranking of No. 22 nationally in points per game at 33.8, as well as an average of 410.2 total yards per game, 236.4 passing yards a game, and 173.8 rushing yards per game.
Prior to Alabama, Sheridan was with DeBoer at Washington from 2022-23 as the Huskies’ tight ends coach, and before that, was the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Indiana from 2020-21.
With the offensive coordinator position set to be taken over by Grubb, Sheridan’s exact role on the Crimson Tide’s 2025 coaching staff is currently an unknown. However, as mentioned previously, Sheridan is expected to remain in Tuscaloosa next season according to reports.
