Former University of Cincinnati basketball player Steve Toyloy has died at the age 37, the school announced in a social media post on Sunday.
UC did not release any information on what caused Toyloy’s death.
Toyloy played for Mick Cronin averaging 3.6 points and 3.5 rebounds from 2008-2010. He was the starting center at 6-foot-8 and 255 pounds in 2008-09 averaging 3.9 points and 3.8 rebounds on a team that went 18-14.
Toyloy came off the bench in 2009-10 when UC was 19-16 averaging 3.3 points and 3.3 rebounds. His best game was Dec. 22, 2008, when he scored 14 points and pulled down nine rebounds vs. Arkansas-Pine Bluff.
