Former LSU football tackle transfers to SEC rival

A former LSU football offensive lineman decided where he will play football next year. Per a report from On3’s Hayes Fawcett on Tuesday, Ory Williams committed to Tennessee. He makes the in-conference move after two seasons in Baton Rouge.

In 2025, Williams played in 12 games with two starts, which came against Arkansas and Western Kentucky. As LSU dealt with injuries in the unit, Williams got more reps at tackle. He was one of six offensive linemen to enter the transfer portal following the hiring of Lane Kiffin and the departure of offensive line coach Brad Davis.

For the most part, Williams played well as the Tigers played with different combinations but still experienced the typical growing pains as a young player in the SEC. He didn’t allow a sack and surrendered just one pressure in 85 opportunities during the regular season, per PFF.

Williams signed with LSU as part of the 2024 class. A three-star prospect, per Rivals’ Industry Rankings, he was the No. 30 offensive tackle in the class.
