Former Penn State LB scopes out spring practice at Big Ten foe

by

Penn State’s spring game may be just around the corner, but one former Nittany Lion is busy checking out spring football on the West Coast this week. Linebacker Ta’Mere Robinson drew some eyes recently with a visit to the USC Trojans, which has led to some speculation that the former four-star recruit may be heading to USC out of the transfer portal soon enough.

Robinson was seen checking out USC on a golf cart the other day as he continues to evaluate his options as a transfer player. Robinson entered the NCAA transfer portal database last week once the portal gates opened, and he quickly became a hot commodity for teams seeking to bolster their defenses.

Robinson will have three years of eligibility remaining wherever he lands out of the transfer portal after spending two seasons with the Nittany Lions. Robinson appeared in 14 games for Penn State in the 2024 season. Last season saw Robinson record 13 tackles and 1.5 tackles for loss in a reserve role on the defense.
