Tulsa quarterback Banks Bowen is transferring to Oklahoma State, he announced on social media.
Bowen was an early enrollee at TU this spring and is the son of OSU quality control coach Clint Bowen. He was a three-star recruit out of Lawrence, Kansas, and had career totals of 4,144 yards and 36 touchdowns passing, while rushing for 2,109 yards and 27 touchdowns. As a junior, he led Class 6A in Kansas in total yards.
OSU adds the true freshman transfer a week after losing Garret Rangel and Maealiuaki Smith to the transfer portal. Bowen will likely be the third quarterback on the Cowboys’ depth chart behind Zane Flores and Hauss Hejny.
