Former UConn women’s basketball star Dorka Juhasz will sit out the 2025 WNBA season, the Minnesota Lynx announced on Sunday.

Juhasz, who played the first two seasons of her WNBA career in Minnesota, is currently playing in the Italian league finals with Famila Schio. She’s played year-round over the last two years, both overseas and in the WNBA, and the Lynx said she plans to rest and recover over the summer.

The 25-year-old forward was a second-round pick of the Lynx in 2023, and has averaged 5.4 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 1.9 assists in two seasons with Minnesota. She played a key role off the bench last season as the team, led by MVP candidate and fellow former Husky Napheesa Collier, reached the WNBA Finals.

Juhasz played for UConn from 2021-23, averaging 14.2 points and 9.9 rebounds as a senior. A native of Pecs, Hungary, she transferred to Storrs after spending the first two years of her college career at Ohio State.
