TMZ was first to report the news of Smith’s arrest and said he had not seen a judge, nor had bond been set.

WOWT reported that a warrant had been issued for Smith on Monday and that he is due in court on Wednesday morning.

The ex-fighter had just turned 38 on Sunday.

Smith had only recently announced his retirement in 2025 after he suffered a knockout loss to Mingyang at UFC Fight Night.

He did fight for Jorge Masvidal’s Gamebred Bareknuckle MMA in April and serves as an analyst on UFC broadcasts on Paramount+ for a pre and post-fight coverage
