
WEST LAFAYETTE − Mo Omonode was overlooked in the high school recruiting process until a Big Ten program down the street from his high school gave him an opportunity.
The former West Lafayette standout became a staple of Purdue football‘s defensive line the past three seasons, playing in 33 games.

He’ll finish his career in the Big Ten, just with the Minnesota Golden Gophers.
Omonode entered the transfer portal last week after missing the spring season with a back injury. On Tuesday, he announced his new home.

After 6.5 tackles for loss and 3 sacks with the Boilermakers, Omonode is the second former Purdue player to transfer to another Big Ten school during the spring period, joining long snapper Nick Levy, who committed to Wisconsin over the weekend.
