Four-star safety recruit visiting UGA football

by

Four-star safety Simeon Caldwell locked in four visits to college football froms. The Georgia Bulldogs are one of them, and Caldwell will visit UGA on March 11, which is when Georgia football starts spring practice.

Caldwell is also visiting the Michigan Wolverines, Ohio State Buckeyes, and USC Trojans, according to On3.

Caldwell is a four-star safety from the class of 2026 who is 6-foot-3 and weighs 185 pounds. He plays football at the Bolles School in Jacksonville, Florida. He is ranked as the No. 5 safety nationally and is the No. 12 prospect in Florida. 247Sports ranks Caldwell as the No. 95 recruit in the country. It is unclear if Caldwell will play safety or linebacker at the next level as he is considered both a safety and linebacker recruit.

He made the Polynesian Bowl in Honolulu, Hawaii, where he was on the same roster as Georgia commit Zech Fort. He also made the Under Armour All-American Game, with Fort, Elijah Griffin, and Juan Gaston.

Kirby Smart and his new scouting director are trying to improve on their roster. The Bulldogs have the 20th-ranked recruiting class in the nation with five commitments. It’s far off from the top five classes they’ve had since Year 2 of the Kirby Smart era, but with early signing day being in December, they are several months away.
