LSU football already has multiple sets of brothers on the roster. Brett and Bo Bordelon on the offensive line. On defense, Zach, Whit, and West Weeks man the linebacker room.
Another sibling duo could be formed soon with guard Paul Mubenga’s brother including LSU in his final five. Ben Mubenga announced his finalists on social media, with LSU joining Florida State, Arkansas, Louisville, and NC State.
So far, Rivals is the only recruiting service to rank Mubenga, slotting the rising senior as a four-star and the No. 45 ranked tackle in the country.
Per a report from Rivals’ Sam Spiegelman, Mubenga has official visits locked in with LSU, FSU, Arkansas, and NC State.
Mubenga plays his high school football at Buford, a powerhouse in the state of Georgia. LSU offensive line coach Brad Davis already has an established relationship with Mubenga thanks to recruiting and signing Paul in 2023.
The Mubenga brothers are relatively new to football. Their home country is the Democratic Republic of the Congo, where they grew up playing soccer.
Paul Mubenga took over the left guard position for LSU down the stretch in 2023 following Garrett Dellinger’s injury. There were growing pains, but Mubenga progressed down the stretch. He will have a chance to compete for a starting spot in 2025.
Mubenga’s official visit to LSU will come on May 30.
Mubenga is a raw prospect, but the tools to be an SEC linemen are there.
