For Alabama quarterback John Gazzaniga, that dream has officially become reality.

Gazzaniga enters his sophomore season with the Crimson Tide after spending his freshman year learning the system and developing behind a talented quarterback room. Standing at 6-foot-7, Gazzaniga certainly looks the part of an SEC quarterback. His size immediately makes him one of the more intriguing players in Alabama’s quarterback room, but his journey to a scholarship wasn’t built solely on physical traits. It was built on consistency, commitment and proving to the coaching staff that he belonged.
Before arriving at Alabama, Gazzaniga put together an impressive high school career at Santa Margarita Catholic High School in California. He threw for 3,994 yards and 30 touchdowns while adding another 486 rushing yards and seven scores on the ground.
