Florida State women’s basketball (5-12, 0-5 ACC) suffered a road loss to its ACC rival, Miami (11-6, 3-3 ACC), 89-73, on Sunday at the Watsco Center.
FSU has now lost three straight games and remains winless in the ACC.

Junior guard Sole Williams came off the bench and became the top-scorer with 19 points, four rebounds and three assists.
Senior guard Amaya Bonner added 13 points, a block and a steal. Sophomore guard Tatum Greene was the third Seminole to finish in double figures with 10 points, eight boards and four steals.
The game was tight in the first quarter after Emma Risch knocked down a pair of 3s to have the Seminoles up 19-18. The Hurricanes responded in the second quarter, but the game was even four times. UM had the edge at 37-35 at the half.
There were 12 lead chances, but Miami started to gain trouble once FSU kept turning the ball over in a tight stretch. Miami had a 10-point lead, 66-56, heading into the fourth.

While both teams were held scoreless in the final three minutes, Miami maintained a comfortable double-digit lead and relied on its defense to finish off the Seminoles.
Miami was led by senior center Ra’Shaya Kyle as she dropped a double-double with 30 points and 10 rebounds. Four more Hurricanes finished in double figures.

What’s next for FSU basketball
FSU will head north to take on Pittsburgh on Thursday at 6 p.m. The game will be streamed on ACC Extra.
Then the Seminoles will return to the Donald L. Tucker Center to host No. 18 North Carolina on Sunday at 2 p.m. This game will be televised on the CW Network.
