Brown had been earning praise from the FSU coaching staff throughout spring practice and seemed to be a fit for the system that offensive coordinator Gus Malzahn runs.
He is the third wide receiver to enter the transfer portal for the Seminoles, joining Hykeem Williams and Jordan Scott. Brown is the fifth player overall to enter the portal for FSU, with quarterback Trever Jackson and offensive lineman Jaylen Early the others.
FSU now has 10 wide receivers on the roster.
