Florida State received some bad news on Saturday. Key target, three-star offensive lineman DaJohn Yarborough, has committed to the California Golden Bears.
Yarborough is the No. 426 overall recruit and the No. 25 interior offensive lineman in the nation per the Rivals industry rankings. The 6-foot-5, 340-pounder is the No. 9 prospect in the state of Arizona as well.

This is a huge miss for FSU. At the moment, they don’t have any offensive lineman committed in the 2027 cycle. Now, after having a legit shot to land one of the top uncommitted offensive linemen, Florida State has to go back to the drawing board. They also missed out on three-star running back Marquis Fennell a few weeks ago.
FSU is in contention for four-star safety Ta’Shawn Poole and four-star defensive lineman Karlos May, who commit on July 17 and July 18, respectively. They’re also a top contender for three-star edge Stevan Thornton III, and they will look to snag one or a few of these players to regain their recruiting momentum from June when they landed eight commitments.
