After several shake-ups, the card for UFC 316 is officially set. And multiple titles are on the line — the UFC bantamweight title and women’s bantamweight title.
The main draw of this event is undoubtedly the rematch between bantamweight champ Merab Dvalishvili and the man he took that title from: Sean O’Malley. Dvalishvili won the title off O’Malley back at UFC 306, and fans have clamored for “Suga” to get a rematch ever since.
Their first fight was close, but not as close as it could have been. Dvalishvili won by unanimous decision, a shocking result considering O’Malley’s superior record, height and reach. Still, Dvalishvili was able to wear O’Malley down, handing “Suga” the second loss of his career. Can Dvalishvili repeat such an incredible performance or has O’Malley figured him out?
