Georges St-Pierre will serve as a cornerman at UFC 315.
St-Pierre will be in the corner of Aiemann Zahabi (12-2 MMA, 6-2 UFC), who meets former two-time featherweight champion Jose Aldo (32-9 MMA, 14-8 UFC) in a bantamweight bout in the UFC 315 main card opener (ESPN+ pay-per-view, ESPN, ESPN+) at Bell Centre in Montreal. The news was first reported by The Canadian Press.
Zahabi’s older brother, Firas, was the longtime trainer and head coach of former UFC dual-champion St-Pierre, who has cornered numerous fighters since hanging up his gloves in 2017. Zahabi, 37, has won five fights in a row, most recently defeating Pedro Munhoz by unanimous decision this past November.
Aldo is 1-1 since coming out of retirement in 2014. The UFC Hall of Famer defeated Jonathan Martinez at UFC 301, but lost a lackluster split decision to Mario Bautista at UFC 307 this past October.
