The Georgia Bulldogs have offered a scholarship to four-star safety recruit CJ Hester, who is a member of the class of 2026. Hester plays high school football for Cocoa High School in Cocoa, Florida, which is located outside of the Orlando area.
The 6-foot-1, 185-pound safety recruit has been a hot prospect recently. Head coach Kirby Smart and Georgia are the sixth school to offer Hester since the start of February.
Hester is ranked as the No. 220 recruit in the country, the No. 20 safety, and the No. 33 prospect in Florida, per 247Sports. Hester also competes in track and field for Cocoa. He is a versatile athlete and has experience playing cornerback, but is viewed as more of a safety prospect.
The Florida Gators are a team to watch in Hester’s recruitment. Hester has recent scholarship offers from LSU, Boston College, Rutgers, Louisville, and more.
“Blessed to receive an offer from the University of Georgia!” said Hester after receiving a scholarship offer from Georgia.
UGA football has five commitments in 2026 recruiting. UGA has the No. 13 recruiting class in country including commitments from four-star cornerback Jontavius Wyman and four-star safety Zech Fort.
