Georgia football offers fast dual-threat QB recruit

by

The Georgia Bulldogs have offered a scholarship to class of 2026 dual-threat quarterback recruit Legend Bey.

“Blessed to receive an offer from Georgia,” said Bey via social media after getting a scholarship offer from Georgia. Bey is a rising name in recruiting and has recent offers from Duke, SMU, Boston College and Texas A&M.

Bey is more of a rusher than a passes as evidenced by his 2024 high school statistics. As a junior, Bey ran for 1,912 yards and posted 1,444 passing yards along with 41 total touchdowns. It remains unclear where Georgia would want to play Bey, but there’s no doubt that he’s an excellent athlete.

The 5-foot-10, 180-pound quarterback has great speed and is capable of delivering accurate deep passes. Bey would bring a dynamic to the quarterback position that Georgia has not seen in the Kirby Smart era outside of maybe Justin Fields, who never started a game in his one season at UGA.

Bey plays high school football for North Forney High School in Forney, Texas. He also runs track for his high school and has posted some impressive times. His explosiveness is obvious on tape.

Bey is ranked as a three-star athlete and the No. 732 recruit in the country. He’s ranked as the No. 98 recruit in Texas, per 247Sports and the No. 42 athlete nationally.

Georgia currently is without a quarterback commitment in the class of 2026, but the Bulldogs are in the top two for five-star signal caller Jared Curtis, who is expected to make a decision soon.
