The Georgia Bulldogs have offered a scholarship to four-star defensive line recruit Amari Vickerson, who is a member of the class of 2027. Vickerson, a rising junior, is one of the top defensive linemen in Texas in his recruiting cycle.
The 6-foot-4, 290-pound defensive lineman has excellent size. Vickerson plays high school football for Cy Ranch High School in Cypress, Texas.

The four-star has an impressive array of recent scholarship offers from Power Four schools like Arizona State, Auburn and Purdue. “Blessed to receive an offer from The University of Georgia,” said Vickerson after Georgia offered him a scholarship on June 4.

Vickerson is the son of former 10-year NFL veteran defensive lineman Kevin Vickerson, who played for several different NFL teams including the Tennessee Titans and Denver Broncos. Kevin Vickerson played college football for the Michigan State Spartans, who will be a team to watch in his son’s recruitment.

Amari Vickerson is ranked as the No. 246 recruit in the country and the No. 27 defensive lineman. The Cy Ranch standout is the No. 35 recruit in Texas. As a sophomore, Vickerson showed the ability to disengage from blocks and did a good job of getting his hands up to deflect passes.
