Three-star safety Kealan Jones from Sprayberry High School announced his commitment to the Georgia Bulldogs Saturday morning. The 6-foot-1, 185-pound safety is the sixth addition to Georgia‘s 2026 recruiting class and the second defensive back commitment for UGA. He joins four-star IMG Academy safety Zech Fort.
Jones committed to Georgia over Auburn, Michigan, Florida, and Ole Miss. The four-star also had strong interest from Georgia Tech and Duke. He decided to stay in-state with the Bulldogs over the competitors and is a nice addition for the Dawgs’ recruiting class.

Jones is ranked as the No. 46 recruit in Georgia and the No. 29 player at his position, per Rivals. Following Jones’ commitment, Georgia football has the No. 23 recruiting class in the country.
Kealan Jones’ commitment announcement
Georgia’s recruiting approach clearly struck a chord with the rising senior, who will fit into the future defensive back conversation for the Bulldogs.
Having received a scholarship offer from Georgia earlier this year, Jones decided that the chance to play under head coach Kirby Smart was an opportunity he couldn’t decline.
Even with Jones now committed, the Bulldogs aren’t easing up their recruiting efforts at the safety position. They’re also hosting four-star Jireh Edwards, a top-50 national prospect, for his official visit this weekend.
