The Georgia Bulldogs are trying to flip current South Carolina Gamecocks commit Aamaury Fountain. Fountain would prove to add an instant boost to the Dawgs’ already impressive 2027 recruiting class, as the talented cornerback is considering all of his options.
Fountain is an extremely talented and athletic cornerback that has drawn serious interest from programs around the country despite being committed to the Gamecocks. At 6-foot-3, 190 pounds, the Georgia native reportedly had the Bulldogs listed as a top landing spot prior to his commitment, as Georgia is now expected to push even harder in hopes of flipping the dynamic playmaker to Athens. Fountain appeared in just three games during his junior season at Northside High School (Warner Robins, Georgia), but Fountain will look to be a difference maker for whoever lands the star defensive back.

Fountain is ranked as the No. 28 cornerback and the No. 197 overall player from the class of 2027, per the 247Sports Composite rankings. He is ranked as the No. 23 player in Georgia. Fountain remains committed to South Carolina as of now, but Georgia is expected to continue trying to flip the rising star to Athens as the offseason progresses.

Fountain is expected to visit Georgia this fall and is also considering visiting Georgia Tech, Auburn, Florida and Tennessee.
Fountain would be a huge pickup for Georgia. The Bulldogs continue to pursue a multitude of talented players from the class of 2027 outside of Fountain as well, as Georgia has reportedly targeted five-star offensive lineman Mark Matthews and elite linebacker Joakim Gouda.
