Georgia women’s basketball is closing out January with a matchup against Ole Miss at Stegeman Coliseum on Thursday.
So far this season, the Lady Bulldogs are (9-12, 1-6), seven of those wins coming at home. The Rebels (13-6, 4-3) are 3-2 on the road.
Ole Miss has had a good start to 2025. They started with a near 30-point win over Auburn and then another over Vanderbilt a week later and then tacked on another against Florida the following week. They lost by 2 to Texas A&M and Texas and 6 to No. 19 Alabama and won by 8 over Mississippi State.
Georgia cannot relate. They have a singular win in 2025, which was by miracle to Missouri on Jan. 9, 74-72. They lost by almost 30 to Vanderbilt and then almost 20 to Florida back-to-back before that, and since then it’s only been downhill. They lost by 11 to Mississippi State, 5 to Texas A&M and former Dawgs coach Joni Taylor, then by 14 to No. 11 Kentucky and are coming in after their second largest loss-margin (31 points) of the season against No. 15 Oklahoma.
