Hamzah Sheeraz will face Alem Begic for the WBO super middleweight title on the Oleksandr Usyk vs. Rico Verhoeven undercard on May 23 in Egypt.

The full undercard was announced by Ring Magazine, who will promote the event, on Friday.

As ESPN reported on Monday, the card also includes Jack Catterall’s WBA “regular” welterweight title fight against Shakhram Giyasov.

Catterall (32-2, 14 KOs) is coming off a knockout win over Ekow Essuman in November, putting in a stylish performance on the Conor Benn vs. Chris Eubank Jr. undercard.

Rolly Romero is the full WBA champion at 147 pounds.

Sheeraz (22-0-1, 18 KOs) positioned himself for a world title fight after beating Edgar Berlanga with a Round 5 knockout in July last year.

The Brit had fought for the middleweight title in February 2025 but drew with defending champion Carlos Adames in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia before moving up a weight class.

Also on the card is Cuban heavyweight Frank Sanchez who will face American prospect Richard Torrez Jr.

26-year-old Torrez Jr., (14-0, 12 KOs) won a silver medal at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo and is considered one of America’s most promising young fighter but faces a tough step up against Sanchez (25-1, 18 KOs) whose only defeat came against German Agit Kabayel, the WBC interim title holder, in May 2024.

Usyk will defend his WBC heavyweight title against Verhoeven in front of the Pyramids of Giza.
