Here’s a look at LSU football’s all-time career interception leaders

Few schools match LSU’s history when it comes to defensive backs. LSU was dubbed “DBU” in the early 2010s as the Tigers produced stars like Patrick Peterson, Morris Claiborne, and Tyrann Mathieu. Later in the decade, we saw Derek Stingley, Kristian Fulton, and Greedy Williams all leave their mark as standout cornerbacks.

But LSU’s long tradition of secondary talent didn’t start in 2010.

Nick Saban watched elite defensive backs come and go during his tenure at LSU from 1999-2004.

And before Corey Webster and LaRon Landry were All-Americans in the 2000s, Chris Williams was making plays in the 80s.

Today, we’ll take a look at LSU football’s all-time interception leaders. It’s a strong mix of names featuring cornerbacks and safeties. It features players from the 70s and recent stars. Some things may surprise you, such as Patrick Peterson being absent, but Peterson was a shutdown corner who didn’t get many chances to pick off passes. It’s hard to find interceptions when quarterbacks won’t even throw your way.

Here’s the complete list.
