It ain’t predetermined anymore.
Former WWE tag team champion Gzim Selmani — previously known as Rezar in WWE — made his highly anticipated Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC) debut against Daniel Curtin at BKFC Newcastle last night (Sat., March 14, 2026). Despite suffering an early knockdown, the former WWE star rallied to score a knockout victory.

Selmani actually started the fight strong, rocking Curtin early with heavy punches. However, the momentum quickly shifted when Curtin caught him clean and scored a knockdown of his own in the opening round.
Selmani recovered quickly and regained control of the fight, continuing to press forward with aggressive combinations. The former pro wrestler then turned the tide completely, dropping Curtin three times in the first round alone.
The punishment continued in the second frame.
Selmani knocked Curtin down for a fourth time early in Round 2, forcing the referee to step in and wave off the fight.

After the win, Selmani cut an expletive-filled promo and made it clear he’s ready to fight anyone in BKFC.

“I’m here to knock motherf—kers out, anywhere in the motherf—king world. Come get it, motherf—kers,” Selmani said. “I’m f—king done with everybody, motherf—kers. Give it, get it. F—k this place, too. What? Give it. Give it to me. I’m the motherf—king Albanian Psycho. I’m the motherf—ker who came from WWE to this place. I fought my ass off, and I’m here. I’m here to stay, motherf—kers, whether you like it or not. The Albanian Psycho has arrived at BKFC, the most dominant, the most crazy sport, combat sport in the world. Let’s f—king get it. I’m ready for anything.”
Before his time in professional wrestling, Selmani competed in mixed martial arts (MMA), even fighting once for Bellator MMA and competing against notable opponents like Ante Delija and Oli Thompson.
He later transitioned to WWE, where he found success as a tag team champion as part of the Authors of Pain before eventually returning to combat sports.
