In Tuesday’s McDonald’s All-American game, LSU women’s basketball recruit Grace Knox showed off her skill on both ends of the court.
The power forward out of Etiwanda, CA earned a starting spot for the West. She completed two highlight-worthy plays, one at the beginning of the game and another towards the end.

Within the first two minutes, Knox finished a layup through heavy contact and draw an and-one opportunity to put her team up by seven. She used her six-foot-two frame to position herself for a pass in transition then quickly finish.
The West held a seven-point lead as the clock ticked under seven minutes in the fourth quarter. With an East player driving to the basket, Knox blocked her shot out of bounds from behind. She showed off her length and rim-protecting abilities at a turning point in the contest.
As a true freshman, Knox may have an opportunity to make an impact immediately upon arriving to LSU.

The Tigers are potentially losing both of their top scorers in Flau’Jae Johnson and Aneesah Morrow. With Sa’Myah Smith also in the transfer portal, head coach Kim Mulkey is in need of players who can create a strong presence in the paint, which Knox provides.
