Taking your mind’s back to late-October, we took a pause in the middle of the college football season in order to take a look at just how every Alabama Crimson Tide transfer had performed up to that point in the year.
Well, now that were are approaching the midway point of the college basketball season as well, why not do the same thing for Alabama’s offseason transfers on the hardwood?
This past offseason, the Crimson Tide had a total of six players transfer from their Final Four team a year ago, which included two names who started games for Alabama. Some of these were among Alabama’s top players, while others did not necessarily see as much action with the Crimson Tide.
Here is a look at how each of those six names are performing so far this season with their respective new teams:

Rylan Griffen, Forward – Kansas Jayhawks
2024-25 Stats at Kansas: 6.9 PPG, 2.5 RPG, 1.3 APG, 43.9 FG%, 33.3 3P%, 77.8 FT%
Beginning with arguably the biggest name, Griffin started 33-of-36 games for Alabama a year ago, and so far this season has started 7-of-10 games for the Kansas Jayhawks. Griffen however has not necessarily posted the same numbers as he did a year ago, averaging only 6.9 PPG on 33.3% shooting from three, with a majority of his statistics down across the board when compared to a year ago.
2024-25 Stats at South Carolina: 10.3 PPG, 6.8 RPG, 1.5 APG, 65.6 FG%, 72.1 FT%
A part-time starter for Alabama last season, Pringle has started all 12 games for the South Carolina Gamecocks so far this season where he is enjoying a career-year. Pringle has been one of South Carolina’s top players so far this year, averaging 10.3 PPG and 6.8 RPG on 65.6% shooting from the field, as well as a by-far career-high 72.1% at the free throw line.
Sam Walters, Forward – Michigan Wolverines
2024-25 Stats at Michigan: 5.4 PPG, 1.7 RPG, 43.1 FG%, 35.7 3P%, 1.000 FT%
As a freshman last season at Alabama, Walters appeared in 37 total games off the Crimson Tide’s bench, and so far this season with the Michigan Wolverines, the forward is playing a similar role in 12 games. Coming off the Wolverines bench, Walters is averaging 5.4 PPG once again on 35.7% shooting from three, and is also a perfect six-for-six on free throw attempts.
Mohamed Wague, Center – Oklahoma Sooners
2024-25 Stats at Oklahoma: 2.9 PPG, 2.7 RPG, 76.5 FG%, 85.7 FT%
Wague appeared in 33 games a year ago during his lone season at Alabama, starting in eight. Now with the Oklahoma Sooners, Wague has appeared in 11 games off their bench in which he has a similar stat line to a year ago at 2.9 PPG and 2.7 RPG, while also shooting a career-high 76.5% from the field.
Davin Cosby, Guard – Wake Forest Demon Deacons
2024-25 Stats at Wake Forest: 6.8 PPG, 1.5 RPG, 36.5 FG%, 32.4 3P%, 50 FT%
Cosby appeared in 22 games off Alabama’s bench last season, but has since joined the Wake Forest Demon Deacons where he has started 9-of-13 games so far this year. At the moment, Cosby is current averaging a career-high 6.8 PPG on 36.5% shooting from the field.
Kris Parker, Forward – Villanova Wildcats
2024-25 Stats at Villanova: 3.2 PPG, 1.7 RPG, 44.8 FG%, 29.4 3P%, 58.8 FT%
Lastly, after not seeing action a year ago at Alabama as a freshman, Parker has appeared in a total of 13 games off the Villanova Wildcats bench this season. Over that span, Parker is averaging 3.2 PPG on 44.8% shooting from the field.
